Building the Carley Barn, Hertfordshire - 2018

I joined the volunteer team building the Carley Barn in May 2018, when the project was already underway. Working outside, with hand tools meant we could chat while we worked. There were Lots of mortise and tenon joints still to cut. The barn is made of local elm, found in forests within 20 miles of the barn. The barn was raised in September 2018.
